Armani Privé Fall 2011 Couture Re-creation Attempt

I recently saw pictures of the Armani Privé Fall Couture Runway show and fell in love with the makeup. The makeup artist (Linda Cantello) who created this look said that the makeup was meant to be a nod toward Japan, without being a full-on Geisha look. And Mr. Armani himself "was emphatic that he didn't want any color on the face" (this is why you only see my eye). Of coarse Giorgio Armani cosmetics were used on the models. But, I don't have any of those items. So, I was going to used MAC. Then, I remembered that I have the Sleek Paraguaya palette and realized that it would be PERFECT for this look. Plus, because it's much more affordable, it's likely that many more of you have it in your possession. Anyway, this is what I did...

I'm happy with the outcome, overall. I wish that you guys could see it in person, though. Because the camera washed everything out a bit (e.g. you can't see how far up to my brow the shadow went, the touch of coral towards the inner corner of my lower lid & the black isn't as intense).

PRODUCTS USED:

MAC Girl Boy Brow Set
Wet 'n' Wild white eyeliner
MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NW30
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Orange (base)
CoverGirl LashBlast mascara in Very Black
Acid: Black (outer v, lower lid & lash line), White (to set liner)
Paraguaya: Persimmon & Cameo (lid), Blush (brow bone), Sandstone (inner corner)

What is your opinion of the Armani Privé runway
look and what do you think of my take on it?
