2011 MTV VMA Fashion

I just remembered that I forgot to do a "what I would wear" post for the VMAs! I fell in love with this dress when I saw it in July and I think that it's a very appropriate choice for an award show like the VMAs.

Christian Louboutin Balota in Black

Styling: I would where the Alexis Mabile dress & Christian Louboutins without any accessories. My hair is currently down to my butt and I don't have any layers. So I'd wear it pin-straight with an off-center part, keeping it off of my shoulders (I wouldn't want anything to detract from the dress). As far as makeup goes, I would either do a black smoky eye with silver accents, no color on the cheeks (just highlight & contour) and a deep berry stained lip OR a glossy looking eye with somewhat dramatic liner & lashes, again no color on the cheeks and an aubergine lip (think MAC's Night Violet Mattene).

I don't know about you, but I was kind of disappointed with what the ladies chose to wear this year. I felt like everyone either went way over the top or didn't go far enough. The dresses that I did like were nice, but a bit boring & I was not of fan of the styling choices...
