2011 Golden Globes Fashion Part Deux

NOTE: Click on pictures to enlarge.

I've just finished looking at Golden Globes Red Carpet pics & to my surprise Scarlett Johansson was wearing something rather similar to my 2nd choice. Which also happens to be by the same designer, Elie Saab. On the left is my 2nd choice, in the middle is Scarlett & on the right is the runway version of the dress she wore.
I didn't choose my 2nd choice or Scarlett's dress, because I have double D breasts & I couldn't imagine them looking right in either (plus, I'm not a fan of the tie on the runway version of  her dress & I didn't think of taking it off). But, Scarlett's bust is not small. So I guess that I was wrong, because she looks quite good. I would have styled her differently, but still.

Catherine Zeta Jones in Monique Lhuiller is my best dressed. Although, I LOVED Olivia Wilde's Marchesa dress, I just don't think that she looked as glamorous in it as she could have with the proper styling.
I don't want to be mean, so I won't even mention who my worst dressed is. But, my honorable mentions would go to Amy Adams in Marchesa, Lea Michele in Oscar de la Renta and Mila Kunis in Vera Wang.
Seems like I was right on trend, color wise. There were quite a few girls in jewel tone blues & greens. The following dress from Andrew Gn Spring/Summer 2011 Ready-to-Wear was my 3rd choice, btw.

What do you think of my picks and who are your
best, worst & honorable mentions?

2011 Golden Globes Fashion

Every time an award show is coming up I think of what I would wear to it, if I were going. Often, what I choose ends up being right on trend (color or style wise) with what other women show up in. There have been quite a few times when someone has even shown up in what I chose. So, now that I have a blog, I've decided to share my choice with the world. Let's see how it fits in with the trend(s) this year. It wasn't an easy decision this time. Nothing really moved me. So, I don't feel 100% about my choice. Which is rare. Anyway, this is what I would wear to the Golden Globes if I were taller, skinnier & you know... invited.
Monique Lhuillier Spring/Summer 2011 Ready-To-Wear Collection

Styling: I would do an intricate half up, half down hairstyle with side-swept bangs (or fringe, depending on where you're from) & a smoked out blue-green eye with subtle pinky-peach (more pink than peach) cheeks, lips and nails. I wouldn't wear long earrings, because my hair is going to cover my ears and I think that a sapphire necklace, no longer than my clavicle with a bejeweled cuff bracelet would look perfect. Probably a large ring on the opposite hand, as well.

What do you think of my choices & what would you wear?
