If you've been lemming the LE MAC lipstick Aristo-Chic from the Holiday 2007 "Finery" collection or you like the color of Velvet Teddy, but not the matte finish, then I think that Bobbi Brown Lip Color in Brown #4 is what you're looking for.
BB is a bit more expensive than MAC ($23 as opposed $15), but that's the price you pay for "perfection". If you think that a "perfect" lip has a creamy finish, instead of a matte one.
